A professional journalist for more than 40 years, during the final 25 years I specialised
in coverage of technology for various B2B, consumer and technical publications. During that time I've worked for
and with on-line as well as hard-copy publications as both a writer and an editor.

Since the early 1980s, I was a freelancer for print and online publications worldwide.
A generalist, I've written about almost everything from IT and Telecoms to Nanotechnology, from education to the
arts, from politics to the law, from sports to government, and from antiques to the nuclear industry. I am author of three chapters of the 2003 book, DNA-50:The Secret of Life. My freelance work included stints as editor of European Telecoms Intelligence Bulletin (ETIB), launch editor for an IBM/Lotus Web portal site dealing with Knowledge Management, editor of Global Telecoms Business magazine, and an associate editor of Fastlane magazine. My articles have appeared in publications including: Small Times Magazine, The Evening Standard (Internet for Business supplements), United Press International (UPI), The Times, The Guardian, and The Independent, as well as magazines such as Management Today, NewsForge, Silicon.com, Revolution, .net, Byte, Internet Works, LinuxWorld, Good Health, Business Online, Linux User, Internet Business, Caterer & Hotelkeeper, Editor & Publisher, Press Gazette and many others throughout Europe and the US.
