Only Child

Lindy was an only child
And never had a friend
She walked along the lonely street
That never reached the end
She sat upon a little wall
And sang a simple song
But no one ever listened
No one ever sang along
One day she met a shaggy dog
A dog without a chain
A dog without a collar
And a dog without a name

She went to buy a bone
But in a while, when she returned
Once more she was alone
She never saw the dog again
She never found a friend

No Kidnappers

If she and I were kidnapped
And locked away in an empty room together for one whole week
With food and drink and a sink with running water
When the door was finally unlocked and we were free
We would walk away ... still together
But, alas,,, there are no kidnappers
Just this haunting little poem that my wished overflow in

If I Were A Millionaire

If I were a millionaire, I'd pretend
I'd pretend to have nothing atall

And then, with nothing atall, I'd find someone who        wanted me
Someone who wanted me just for my unsuccessful,         imaginative self
And then, being my unsuccessful, imaginative self, I'd         Give her everything she'd ever dreamed of
Everything she'd ever wished for beneath the moon
